Green Earthtongue (Microglossum viride)

Green earthtongue (Microglossum viride) is a beautiful clublike fungus known for it bluish green color, as well as its close association with moss and tanoak. It is highly possible that our California green earthtongues are not the true M. viride from Europe, but a separate undescribed species in the Microglossum griseoviride group.
