Fly Agaric (Amanita muscaria)
The fly agaric or fly amanita (Amanita muscaria) is perhaps the most iconic mushroom in the world. It is known for its bright red cap, which is often adorned with several "warts" or universal veil remnants. This species is considered both hallucinogenic and poisonous. However, it may be consumed after careful preparation that is beyond the scope of this website.
