Bleeding Fairy Helmet (Mycena haematopus)

Bleeding fairy helmet (Mycena haematopus) is a beautiful mushroom species known for the red juice that it "bleeds" when damaged. The reddish-brown caps also have scalloped margins, a feature which helps to differentiate this species from other bleeding mushrooms.
