Sierra Bog Orchid (Platanthera dilatata var. leucostachys)
The Sierra bog orchid (Platanthera dilatata var. leucostachys) is a California-native wildflower commonly found near bogs, seeps and other wetlands. This species is also known as rein orchid, due to the elongated spur on the lip, which is said to resemble a horse's rein.
