Mountain Jewelflower (Streptanthus tortuosus)
Mountain jewelflower (Streptanthus tortuosus) is an herb which produces tiny, intricate, urn-shaped wildflowers. Also known as shieldplant or shieldleaf, this elegant member of the mustard family (Brassicaceae) makes a beautiful and unique addition to rocky slopes and other dry forest openings.
