Sand Fringepod (Thysanocarpus curvipes)

Sand fringepod (Thysanocarpus curvipes) is an unusual, yet elegant annual herb native to western North America. As its flowers age, they open to reveal fascinating disc-like seeds which are easily transported via wind to perpetuate the growth cycle.
