Daring jumping spider (Phidippus audax)
The daring jumping spider (Phidippus audax) or bold jumper is easily recognized by three white or orange spots on its abdomen and its bright blue-green iridescent chelicerae (mouthparts). This species doesn't use a web to catch prey, but ambushes it by jumping with powerful legs.
