Physarum cinereum
Physarum cinereum is a slime mold species with sessile (stalkless) fruiting bodies that are adorned with white calcium deposits. They are often found on dead leaves and living plants. Sometimes the fruiting bodies will fuse together to form plasmodiocarps - these are fun shapes that can resemble alien languages!
