Scurfy Twiglet (Tubaria furfuracea)
The scurfy twiglet (Tubaria furfuracea) is a small, orangish mushroom commonly found in wood chips and other woody debris. The margins of the cap are often adorned with white partial veil tissues, but these sometimes disappear with rain or age. It is not uncommon to find scurfy twiglet growing near graceful Psathyrella (Psathyrella gracilis) — another common wood chip mushroom.
