Zigzag Larkspur (Delphinium patens ssp. patens)
Zigzag larkspur (Delphinium patens ssp. patens) is a showy perennial herb which is mostly endemic to California. This beautiful wildflower is also known as spreading larkspur. Please note that despite the attractive floral display, all Delphinium species contain toxic alkaloids, rendering them highly poisonous to humans and livestock.
