Scarlet Fritillary (Fritillaria recurva)

Scarlet fritillary (Fritillaria recurva) is a perennial herb with gorgeous red wildflowers featuring a checkered pattern. Its petals curve backwards at the tips (hence the specific epithet, recurva). This vibrant member of the lily family is native to northern California and southern Oregon.
