Purplelip Pansy Monkeyflower (Diplacus angustatus)

The purplelip pansy monkeyflower (Diplacus angustatus) is a California-endemic wildflower found in vernal pools and similar damp habitats. It is also known as narrow-leaved or narrowleaf pansy monkeyflower. As is the case with many monkeyflowers, the blooms are small, but quite intricate and beautiful upon close inspection.
