Desert Lily (Hesperocallis undulata)
The desert lily (Hesperocallis undulata) is a showy desert wildflower which grows in the southwestern United States. Despite the common name and the appearance of the flower itself, the plant is no longer considered a true lily (family Liliaceae); botanists have now placed it in the asparagus family. In addition to the beautiful white blossoms, this perennial herb is also known for its long, wavy leaves, which branch out along the desert floor.
