Sierran treefrog (Pseudacris sierra)
The Sierran treefrog (Pseudacris sierra) is a common frog in most of northern and central California, distinguished by the thick dark sripes that pass through the middle of its eyes from nostril to shoulder. Also known by its more accurate name of Sierran chorus frog, this species is the most vocal in its range and is usually found among low vegetation.
