October 27, 2015 - Silver Garden Spider

The silver garden spider (Argiope argentata) is the species that first piqued my interest in spiders during my brief residence in Southern California over a decade ago. It is still one of my favorites, and I make sure to observe and photograph the species whenever I have the opportunity to visit the area. Laguna Beach, Orange County, California.
