Western Boxelder Bug (Boisea rubrolineata)

The western boxelder bug (Boisea rubrolineata) is a very common insect found in western North America and Canada. Despite the common name, these true bugs can be found on many different plants, as well as on buildings and other manmade structures. Their eggs are bright red and very tiny (about 1.5mm long).
