Little Prince's Pine (Chimaphila menziesii)

Little prince's pine (Chimaphila menziesii) is a small wildflower which is native to California and found throughout Western North America. Like other members of the heath family (Ericaceae), this plant is known for its ability to form symbiotic relationships with soil fungi to supplement the limited photosynthetic production that occurs in its shady habitat.
