California Bee Plant (Scrophularia californica)

California bee plant (Scrophularia californica) is a common California-native perennial herb with triangular leaves and dark red wildflowers. As the name suggests, bees are the preferred pollinator, although the diminutive stature of the blossoms makes for a tight fit. California figwort is a common synonym.
